Blogs I Heart

Sometime during the day when I need a break I have a few blogs I check in at... These are varied but all wonderfully creative and interesting....

Black*Eiffel Cast On (I did the logo) Design Sponge Dooce Drop Cap Heartland P+P Piewacket Return to Bohemia

If there is one theme throughout all of the above blogs is that they are eye candy. I love it that anyone who has anything to share can put up a blog.

I've shared mine, plz leave a comment and share your favs.

My friend Nancy...

has a very interesting blog. Nancy is creative and spunky and well read. She is writing a novel, is an artist and and lived in Budapest for awhile where she co-owned a newspaper.

Her posts are interesting little nuggets that that sometimes stick with me and I ponder them during the day. Some make me sigh with pleasure. Each one is like a small French pastry. www.walkingsatellite.blogspot.com

To blog or not to blog...

Thank you all for the comments left on the blog, the emails, the phone calls and email send thru John.

The consensus is that you want me to keep on sharing and that blogs are really all the about the person blogging. I was not sure about sharing about the condo but I am being asked specifically to share that too. Frankly I wish each of my girlfriends had a blog. I would love to know all about them on a daily or weekly basis.

The feeling is that anyone who finds my blog too much me, me, me should not read it.

This did help me work through why I blog. I am an introvert so it really isn't about me sharing about myself. My job is to get up every day and be creative (fonts, a logo, book illustrations at the moment). There are books telling people how to do this. I have my own process and I think blogging is part of that. It helps me be creative in a different way. Being more creative or keeping those skills sharp are a good thing. So I will continue.

This picture was taken along Lake Monona between DT and where we are going to live. Now that I look at it it sort of looks fake like I photoshoped 2 photos together to get this. But I did not.

To blog or not to blog...

I know I have wondered online if I should continue to blog or not. I started my blog when we went to Paris mostly for my Dad. Then I kept up with the blog for him. He said it was a way for him to know what I was doing and it would be a shame if I quit.

But now my Dad is gone.

And today someone told me that my blog was all I, I, I, me, me, me. I think now I blog somewhat out of habit. And since it is about me and my life it is about me. But maybe too much. This reader thinks so.

I know bloggers seem from time to time not sure if they should continue to blog... it is work to think up something interesting to share.

I can easily, very easily not do this...

So I am asking for comments which can be anonymous. Or friends can send me an email... My guess is that I won't post again until I figure this out.
